The Furesh can be set entirely within your home bathtub to use. This keeps all the water in your tub.
We set ours up at a 90-degree angle to the tub. This kept one leg of the Furesh inside our home bathtub and the other outside. The drain hose is long enough to reach the tub from that position. We did have a problem with the back leg being lower than the one in the tub. To fix that, we put a wide block under the back leg. Perfect! Now, the water ran into our bathtub rather than pooling in the Furesh.
One problem we noted was that the drain clogs with dog hair. No matter how much you brush your dog before bathing, some hair will come off in the tub. As the drain clogs, we keep a garbage pail near us to put the hair in. It’s easy enough to do.
We have yet to use the lead that comes with the Furesh. Our dogs have been trained to stay in the tub. But it would be helpful to help train new dogs.
Do I still wish I had a stainless steel raised bathtub for our dogs? I admit, I do. And when I have a place to put it, I’ll add one. But until then, the Furesh is a good solution for keeping our small and medium-sized dogs clean.
